• Learn about careers in Astronomy! – Jeff Barton, Director of Astronomy at Comanche Springs Astronomy Campus near Crowell, will discuss careers in astronomy and space sciences. Topics will include visual, radio, and radar astronomy and related jobs such as mechanical, electronic, and computer science technician.
  Barton has worked as an engineering technician and operator of astronomical equipment in industry and has been with the 3 Rivers Foundation full-time since 2010. 

• Weather permitting, 3RF will provide safe viewing of the Sun with a special solar telescope, learn the life cycle of a star and create a model, and calculate the distance between planets!  

Activities for Elementary age children and their families. Price is included with general admission and free for members.
