River Bend Nature Center’s Bug Fest is BACK! Come join us for a bug-filled evening Friday, May 12th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm!! You can discover what a 10-inch millipede feels like and look a tarantula right in its eight eyes. Experience the beauty and fascination of bugs and learn about their importance in our daily lives.
There will be many activities for all ages, such as OSU’s Insect Adventure where you can see, hold, and touch a multitude of insects, a Bug Hunt Contest, Bug Games, Buggy Crafts, a Bug Costume Contest, plus so much more! Also, enjoy River Bend’s own “Bug Stop” Live Collection and experience “Peyton’s Place” Butterfly Exhibit in the Ruby N. Priddy Butterfly and Nature Conservatory! Admission is $6 per adult, $5 per child, and ages one and under are free. RBNC Members will receive a dollar off per member.

Adults are $6, children are $5, and ages one and under are free. RBNC Members receive a dollar off per member. All crafts and games are included.
If the event is canceled due to weather we will post on Facebook, our website, email, and send the information to local news outlets.
Dress up as your favorite insect! There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner for the best costume.
All attendees are welcome, but it is geared for children.
The costume contest starts at 7:30 p.m. Please line up in the pavilion. Numbers will be passed out. Place them in an easy to read location on your costume.
All games are free. There will be prizes at each game.
