Dallas Zoo Animal Show!

The Dallas Zoo is coming to River Bend Nature Center on April 23rd! There will be two animal shows at 10 am and 11:15 am. This 45-minute interactive program features animals from around the world! This program is open to schools and the public. Groups of 10 or more must reserve their spot using the form below. Don’t miss your chance to see these exotic animals up close and personal! Dallas Zoo Animal Show Reservation Request 2024

  • Please fill out the form below (only if you have 10 or more in your group) to request a reservation for the Dallas Zoo. A confirmation email will be sent to you noting the time and date of your reservation based on your choices below and current availability. Keep in mind your reservation will not be confirmed until you get this confirmation email. For more information contact us at 940-767-0843 or email info@riverbendnaturecenter.org.
  • One Teacher per class will be admitted for free, additional adults will be charged the admission fee.
  • Please select your first and second choice for the Dallas Zoo Animal Show program. Show times will be filled on a first come first served basis. If the time you want is not shown, it’s full. A waiting list is available, to add your name call us at 940-767-0843.

  • • The cost per person is $5.00, and babies ages one and under are free. Payment is due at the time of field trip unless other pre-approved arrangements have been made.
  • • One Teacher per class will be admitted for free, additional adults will be charged the fee above.
  • • If you decide to cancel please call us immediately (M-F 10am-6pm). Your school/group will be invoiced for the total reservation cost if you fail to show for your program or cancel within one (1) week of the scheduled date.
  • • Arrival and departure time (please inform your driver): 10 am show- Buses can arrive as early as 9:30 am, as soon as children are dropped off please park in Lucy Park. Buses need to be back at RBNC ready for pick up at 10:30 am. Please do not unload until you have been told to do so by an RBNC employee.
  • • 11:15 am show- Buses can arrive no earlier than 11:00 am (this is to allow the previous show to load and depart). As soon as children are dropped off please park in Lucy Park. Buses need to be back at RBNC ready for pick up at 11:45 am. Please do not unload until you have been told to do so by an RBNC employee.

Dallas Zoo FAQ*

Can I buy tickets at the gate?

General admission tickets are limited, if we pre-sale to capacity we will not offer admission at the gate. Buy your tickets now to reserve your spot!

How much is it?

$5 per person, babies ages 1 and under are free!

When should buses arrive and depart?

10 am show– Buses can arrive as early as 9:30 am. As soon as children are dropped off, please park in Lucy Park. Buses need to be back at RBNC ready for pick up at 10:30 am.

Where do I park?

Parking is available in the RBNC parking lot, and the unpaved lot across the street (do not use if raining/muddy).

How do I register my class or large group of 10 or more?

Scroll to the bottom of this page and fill out a reservation request form. You will receive a confirmation email with your date and time. Give us a call at 940-767-0843 if you have any questions.

What happens if it rains?

The Dallas Zoo Animal Show will occur rain or shine.

What kinds of animals do they bring?

Animals will vary, the program will feature six to eight educational animals including a variety of birds, mammals, and reptiles. In the past, they have brought a reticulated python, a large bird of prey (owl or hawk), tortoise, alligator, opossum, 3-banded armadillo, porcupine, sloth, and penguins.

How long is the show?

The show will last for 45 minutes.

Do I have to register?

Only groups of 10 or more have to make a reservation.
