Join us for the 20th Annual Not-So-Scary Halloween at River Bend Nature Center on Friday, October 16, from 6–9 PM for an evening of family-friendly Halloween fun!
Enjoy a costume contest with prizes at 7:30 PM, a giant candy walk, fun games, crafts, tasty treats, and a Flashlight Fun Trail through the United Children’s Garden, all with music by DJ Marcus ‘Maniac’ McGee!
Admission: Adults $8 • Kids $6 • Ages 1 & under free • Members $1 off per person
(All games and crafts included except the Candy Walk.)
Location: River Bend Nature Center, 2200 3rd St., near the main entrance to Lucy Park in Wichita Falls.

Will there be food?
How much is admission?
Admission is $8 for adults, kids are $6, ages one and under are free and River Bend Members receive $1 off per person. All crafts and games are included!
What happens if it rains?
If the event is canceled due to weather we will post on Facebook, our website, email, and send the information to local news outlets.
What are the Costume Contest categories?
Cutest, Funniest, Spookiest, Most Creative, and Best Group costumes. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner for each category.
Who can participate in the Costume Contest?
All attendees are welcome, but it is geared for children.
Where do I park?
Parking can be found in our main lot, directly across the street, at the bottom of the hill on 3rd street in the city lot, Lucy Park, and up and down 4th street. Please do not block driveways, gates, or other vehicles. Volunteers will be directing traffic. Please follow their instructions.
How much are games?
All games are free with the exception of our Candy Walk, each “walk” is $1.00. Cash only at the booth. Candy Walk tickets can be purchased with a credit or debit card in Gift Shop if needed.
How much are crafts?
All crafts are free!
