Join us for Sip n’ Science: Aquascape Aquariums on March 24th from 6:30-8:30 pm! This exciting event is designed for individuals 21 and up and offers a unique opportunity to learn about the science behind creating and maintaining a beautiful and healthy planted aquarium while sipping on your favorite wine or beer! What is an Aquascaping? Aquascaping is the craft of arranging aquatic plants, as well as rocks, stones, or driftwood, in an aesthetically pleasing manner within an aquarium – in effect, gardening underwater.

During the event, participants will be guided through the process of aquascaping by Jennica Lambert, RBNC’s Exhibits Curator, who will share tips and tricks for creating stunning aquatic environments. She will also explain the importance of maintaining proper water chemistry, lighting, filtration, and more to ensure the health and longevity of the plants and animals in the aquarium.

In addition to the educational aspect of the event, participants will have the opportunity to socialize with other science enthusiasts while enjoying drinks and light refreshments. Every participant will perform hands-on science experiments and take home their own mini aquascape with live plants and critters!

Whether you are a seasoned aquarist or always wanted a fish tank, this event is perfect for anyone looking to learn more about the fascinating world of aquascaping!
