During this event, Dr. Masuoka will shed light on the ecological significance of fungi, emphasizing their unique characteristics and their impact on human health. With his expertise, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the intricate relationships fungi have with their environment and other organisms. Participants will also learn about the incredible variety of mushrooms and fungi found right here in Wichita Falls, TX.

Presenter Bio
Dr. James Masuoka earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Montana State University. From there he went on to complete a PhD in Biology (studying trace metals in tuna) at the University of California, San Diego. He did post-doctoral research in medical mycology at the University of Virginia before joining the faculty at MSU in 2007. Dr. James Masuoka is currently an Associate Professor in the Biology department.

You can come to the Nature Gift Shop at RBNC any time during business hours, we can take your payment over the phone, you can send in a check, or you can check out using PayPal as a guest.
