Camp starts Monday, March 18th and ends Friday, March 22nd. Camp is held at River Bend Nature Center located at 2200 3rd Street, at the corner of Sunset Drive and 3rd Street. Camp sessions will be held inside during inclement weather. In the event of severe weather, please contact the River Bend Nature Center office at 940-767-0843.

Spring Break Camp is back again this year at River Bend Nature Center March 18th through the 22nd! Join in on all the cool hands-on activities and make new friends!
STEAM Camp (8:30 am-12:00 pm) Campers will use paint to explore force, motion, gravity, and magnetism. Collect and examine soil samples and then create a soil collage. Use stream trays to discover how water creates the landscape. Explore optical illusions and create a zootrope. Create a binary bracelet. Explore pattern and design using tessellations. Explore sound and music and then construct and play pan pipes and so much more!

Where is it and when does it start?
When can you drop off and pick up your camper?
STEAM Spring Camp is from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., campers may be dropped off no earlier than 8:15 am and must be picked up no later than 12:15 pm.
4-5-year-old session– Parents or guardians will need to sign their children in and out each day in the Library, located inside the Learning Center. Only parents/guardians/designated adults listed on the camper’s form will be allowed to pick up campers. Please bring a photo ID.
6-12-year-old session– Parents or guardians will need to sign their children in and out each day in the Pavilion, located outside. Only parents/guardians/designated adults listed on the camper’s form will be allowed to pick up campers. Please bring a photo ID.
How do I register a camper and what is the deadline?
You register for camp by completing the Camp Registration form located below. This form along with payment is required for registration, and they are due on or before 5:00 pm on Wednesday before camp. No registrations will be taken after this deadline.
Spring Break Camp is filled on a first-enrolled basis and may fill up prior to the registration deadline. The 6-12-year-old group has a maximum of 40 campers, and the 4-5-year-old group has a maximum of 12 campers.
What should campers wear?
Campers should wear comfortable clothes that could get dirty during creativity and closed-toed shoes. Sunscreen and a hat are good ideas. Bring a jacket if the weather is chilly. Please apply any sunscreen or insect repellent before camper arrives. We will not be providing insect repellent or sunscreen.
What should campers bring with them?
During camp, many “make and take” crafts and activities will be made by your child. Please send a backpack with your child to help carry the crafts home each day.

How do I pay the registration fee?
After you complete the registration fee it will automatically take you to PayPal to complete your transaction. You can check out as a guest by clicking the grey button that says pay with debit or credit card. You can also use the links below to complete your transaction. If you would like to pay over the phone please call 940-767-0843. You can also pay in the gift shop during regular business hours.
What are the requirements for campers to attend?
STEAM Spring Break Camp is for ages 4-12.
Campers must be potty trained and will be placed in groups according to ages.
What’s RBNC refund policy?
Due to limited space, refunds will not be issued.
