STEAM Spring Break Camp 2021

Mon, March 15 @ 8:30 am Fri, March 19 @ 12:00 pm

Spring Break Camp is back again this year at River Bend Nature Center, March 15th through the 19th from 8:30 AM- 12:00 PM! Join in on all the cool hands-on activities and make new friends!

Outdoor adventures await this year’s campers! Every day will explore a different theme. Campers will construct art tool bags and create their own handmade journals. They will use these items every day as they explore the bottomland forest and nature trails. Campers will use a variety of artistic mediums and materials to construct, paint, and design projects. Innovation and creativity will be at the heart of every activity. STEAM camp combines components of science, technology, engineering, art, and math in a meaningful, hands-on, engaging, fun week of activity.

Spring Break Camp FAQ

What are our Covid-19 procedures?

Campers will receive a bag with all supplies and instructed not to share supplies. If they need additional supplies, they must request these from their teacher and not another camper.

Sanitization of all program areas and equipment prior to use and at the end of each day will take place.

Hand washing or hand sanitizing will be practiced before and after activities. Hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, soap, and water, or similar disinfectant will be readily available throughout camp.

We will implement staggered seating, no mixing of groups and the groups maximum size will be 10 campers.

All staff and campers will always wear face masks (over the nose and mouth). Campers need to bring their own properly fitted masks.  Campers will need to stay 6ft apart at all times.

If a camper becomes ill or tests positive for COVID-19, the camper will be sent home, and we will notify all parents or guardians of the other campers. Parents or guardians of other campers can decide to either pick up their child from the camp or leave the child in the camp and trust RBNC to take appropriate safeguards.

We will screen all staff each day for any of the following new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit, or known close contact with a person who is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19.

Please do not send you child to camp if they feel ill, thank you for helping us keep everyone healthy.
