Build It! June 22nd – June 26th
Unleash your inner engineer! Campers will design, build, and test their own vehicles, construct animal habitats, build and launch paper rockets, learn how to construct energy-saving homes, create electric circuit games, and enjoy taking on different engineering challenges every day!
RAWR for Dinosaurs! July 6th – 10th
Ready, set, RAWR for Dinosaurs! Campers will travel back in time and learn about the amazing giants that roamed the land, excavate their own dino, create their own dinosaurs, create replica fossils, build dinosaur habitats, go on a fossil hunt, and so much more!
Nature Ranger! July 20th – 24th
Grab your hiking shoes, walking stick, and adventuring hat and become a River Bend Nature Ranger! Campers will make tracks, explore different pelts and animal skulls, see our rescued critters up close and personal during an RBNC Animal Show, explore the pond, look for evidence of creatures on the trail and so much more!
Science Explorers! August 3rd – August 7th
Roll up your sleeves, dust off your science goggles, and prepare to have some fun! Campers will create different concoctions of slime, make their own science tool kits, build terrariums, create vehicles, use digital scopes to investigate the microscopic world of nature, create chemical reactions using kitchen chemistry, and so much more!

Summer Camp FAQ
Where is Camp River Bend held?
Where do we drop off and pick up campers?
Camp is from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm; campers may be dropped off no earlier than 8:15 am and must be picked up no later than 12:15 pm.
Parents will not exit their vehicles. The camper will be taken by camp personnel upon arrival and taken back to their vehicle at the end of the day.
Only parents/guardians/designated adults listed on the camper’s form will be allowed to pick up campers. Please bring a photo ID.
Each camper’s temperature will be taken prior to camp each day with a touchless thermometer upon arrival at River Bend prior to parent leaving the facility.
No parents or guardians visiting the camp during or between camp sessions, except to drop-off and pick-up campers.
If an early release of the camper is needed, parents or guardians must call ahead.
How do I register a camper and what is the deadline?
Space is limited. All camps are filled on a first-enrolled basis and may fill up prior to the registration deadline. Each camp has a maximum of 30 campers and a minimum of 10. If this minimum requirement is not met, the camp will be canceled.
You can complete registration and payment online at RiverBendNatureCenter.org. If you wish to fill out a paper copy of the registration form and make your payment in person, forms are available in the River Bend Nature Gift Shop. Our hours are Mon.-Fri. 10 am – 6 pm, Sat. 10 am-4 pm and Sun. 12-4 pm. Registration forms along with payment are required for registration, and they are due on or before 6:00 pm the Wednesday before the session you wish to attend. No registrations will be taken after this deadline.
What are the requirements for campers to attend?
Camp River Bend is for ages 6-11.
What should the camper bring with them?
Water bottle- Write your child’s name on it.
Face mask- Will be worn inside only, campers will also be making their own.
Snack- Write your child’s name on it. Snacks will not be provided by RBNC.
Backpack- Will be used to carry water and snacks and to help carry activities home each day.
Comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes- These may get dirty during creativity.
Optional– Sunscreen and a hat are good ideas. Please supply your child with a jacket if needed.
Insect repellent/sunscreen- We will not be providing insect repellent or sunscreen, please apply before camper arrives.
Anything else I should know?
An adult staff member will supervise camp activities. We have a staff to camper ratio of approximately 1:10.
The gift shop will be available at the end of each day’s camp for purchases.

The Online Camp Registration Form will not let you submit your form if you are missing a required field. After you try to submit, these fields will be highlighted in red. See below. You must reenter the missing information and reenter the captcha at the bottom of the form and resubmit. Keep in mind the captcha is case sensitive.
